In Loving Memory...

On March 4, 2022, we lost our founder, friend, and mentor, JoAnne Nordling.  JoAnne, in partnership with her dear friend and colleague Lorraine Heller, created the Parent Support Center over 30 years ago. Her books, Taking Charge and Caring Discipline, are the foundation of this organization. JoAnne’s books and curriculum were created in response to a need she witnessed as a teacher, school librarian, and school counselor to provide parents loving guidance on building self-esteem in children and creating harmony in families and classrooms.

JoAnne’s contributions in this arena have been instrumental in changing thousands of lives and will continue to support families into the future. We will miss her greatly but her legacy will remain with us forever.

Since its inception, what sets Parent Support Center apart is JoAnne's commitment that every family be able to participate in our classes regardless of their ability to pay. We rely on donations and grants to support our scholarship fund and keep our classes affordable to all.

If you'd like to make a contribution in support of JoAnne's life and life's work, we thank you! Use the link to donate online or mail a check to:
