Educator Training

Every teacher needs more tools to support children who are struggling with difficult behaviors. PSC offers educators just that. Approved as a set two educator training series by OCCD, Caring Discipline was developed by JoAnne Nordling during her journey as a parent, a teacher, and a school counselor. 
Caring Discipline offers educators the opportunity to understand and meet the needs of their students, consider their inner-reality, and offer guidance and discipline that is clear and effective. Participants explore their own personal approach in the classroom, learn the four different types of misbehavior, and practice the specific corrections for each surrounded by a supportive community of educators.

  • 7.5 hours of set two training

  • Follow-up refresher for 2 hours, one month after final session

  • Follow-up refresher for 2 hours, one month after final session

  • 1:1 coaching with five individuals for an hour each helps deepen the practice

  • PSC will arrange an exclusive parent series for participants at your school to engage directly with the Caring Discipline curriculum. *Parents will pay PSC individually for the 5-part parent series (currently $175/family, book included) taught by one of our trained teachers.
