PARENT SUPPORT CENTER

PORTLAND, OREGON

What we do

Parent Support Center, Inc., located in Portland, Oregon and serving the Pacific Northwest region, was established in 1988 in response to an unmet need for effective parenting classes available to all, regardless of ability to pay. Founder JoAnne Nordling, a former teacher and school counselor, and Lorraine Heller, a former Head Start Teacher, began offering the Caring Discipline program, and we now offer training, classes --both in-person and online, workshops, materials, resources, inspiration, and ongoing support to parents and educators.

"Parents love the book and the curriculum. We had parents say that this changed their lives. What a powerful gift to them!"
-Kristin Lasher & Cheri Shea, Portland Public Schools counselor and teacher
